With the situation in Gaza deteriorating by the day, and anti-semitism rampant around the world, thousands of NY Jews were alerted to Muslim savagery upon receiving the following text message which has been going around on Friday afternoon:

“A Jewish woman gave a tip to a Muslim taxi driver and out of appreciation he warned her not to go to Manhattan next week Wednesday.”

YWN has reached out to high-ranking members of the NYPD, and have stated that although they received the same text message, “there are no credible threats to be concerned about - and don’t even know where this text message originated from”.

The only message that they do have for the public is the same message that they have been saying since 9/11. That message is “always be aware of your surroundings, be vigilant, and if you see anything suspicious contact the police department immediately to report what you have seen”.

UPDATE 3:50PM EST: YWN has just spoken with NYS Assemblyman Dov Hikind who tells us that he has received various reports regarding this ‘threat’ and has personally contacted the FBI who is currently investigating them.

He thanked YWN for our alert to calm the public, and echoed the call for calm and vigilance at anytime and any location. “If you see something, say something,” Hikind said.

“The FBI and the NYPD take these types of threats very seriously, and investigate them thoroughly to ensure the safety of the public.”

Hamas has officially announced that the period of calm with the legitimate and sovereign nation of Israel has ended.

More than 50 rockets and mortar bombs have been launched into Israel’s towns over the weekend, breaking all international law, and bringing back the trauma the residents of this area have to live with by no fault of their own, other than being Jewish.

Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gabriela Shalev slammed Hamas Thursday at the UN Security Council over Hamas’ anniversary celebrations, which included a Hamas member playing the part of abducted Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.

“As a human being - as a mother - I was appalled to hear about a rally that took place in the center of Gaza City” where “150,000 people gathered and cheered for a show that mocked the misery of Gilad Shalit, the suffering of his family, and the compassion of the people of Israel, and people around the world.”

“Gilad Shalit has remained in Hamas captivity for 910 days and nights,” she said.

“We expect the international community to do its utmost to bring him home safely.”

Hamas announced Thursday that the six-month cease-fire with Israel in Gaza was officially over. On Thursday Palestinians fired nine Kassam rockets and seven mortar shells at Israel. Close to 50 rockets have been fired over the past three days.

Following the Hamas announcement, the U.S. State Department issued a statement saying that the cease-fire should be “respected and extended.”

“The U.S. condemns recent rocket attacks on Israel. Violence will not advance, but retard, the hope for peace between Israelis and Palestinians.”

“Hamas can be a part of the peace process by accepting the principles outlined by the Quartet: renunciation of violence and terror, recognition of Israel, and acceptance of previous agreements between the parties.”

Fortunately the judge had the wherewithal to make sure that this Muslim’s kill-switch will be in the off-position for the next 15 years.  Via AP:

An Egyptian student attending a Florida university was sentenced to 15 years in prison Thursday for making a YouTube video showing would-be terrorists how to turn a remote-control toy into a bomb detonator.

U.S. District Judge Steven D. Merryday said the public needed to be protected from 27-year-old Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed, who made the video “to empower others through his teaching to deliver death, destruction and, at the very least, panic.”

An Iranian Red Crescent vessel due to set sail for Gaza this week carries a “hidden agenda,” providing cover for an attempt by Tehran’s al-Quds Force to spread its influence and possibly ferrying intelligence agents, Prof. Raymond Tanter, president of the Washington-based Iran Policy Committee, warned on Saturday. Iran’s Red Crescent Society and other Iranian charities, such as the Imam Relief Committee and the Persian Green Relief Institute, were all “agents of the Iranian regime to carry out its subversive activities,” Tanter said. “In Iraq, the Red Crescent operates as a cover for the Quds Force.”

Similarly, the Saudi-based Al-Haramain Islamic Foundation was designated as a terrorist-supporting entity in part because its office in Pakistan supported LeT.
