Navy Seals rescued Capt. Richard Phillips, killing three Somali Muslim pirates and ending a five-day standoff between rogue gunmen and the world’s most powerful military.

Don’t phuck with the United States.  Just.  Don’t.

Keep in mind folks, that Somalians are Muslims.  And these pirates are Somalians.  See the pattern?  Via My Way News:

Escalating a dramatic Indian Ocean standoff, more U.S. warships – as well as pirate reinforcements with an international gallery of hostages – rushed Friday toward the spot where four Somali bandits are holding a U.S. sea captain aboard a drifting lifeboat.

The pirates apparently fear being shot or arrested if they hand over Capt. Richard Phillips – captured in a failed effort to seize the Maersk Alabama on Wednesday – and hope to link up with their colleagues who are using Russian, German, Filipino and other hostages captured in recent days as human shields.

U.S. Central Command chief Gen. David Petraeus said U.S. warships also are headed to the area, more than 300 miles (480 kilometers) off Somalia’s Indian Ocean coast.

Among at least 24 aid workers killed in Somalia this year was one who was beheaded last month specifically for converting from Islam to Christianity, among other charges, according to an eyewitness.

Muslim extremists from the al Shabab group fighting the transitional government on Sept. 23 sliced the head off of Mansuur Mohammed, 25, a World Food Program (WFP) worker, before horrified onlookers of Manyafulka village, 10 kilometers (six miles) from Baidoa.

German police commandos seized two terrorist suspects Friday from a Dutch airliner just before it was due to leave Cologne for Amsterdam, media reports said.

Police said a 23-year-old Somali national and a 24-year-old German citizen born in the Somali capital of Mogadishu, were overpowered on the KLM flight 1804 at 6:55 am (0455 GMT) local time.

A KLM spokeswoman said police boarded the plane when it was at its “point of departure,” and seized the two suspects. She said everyone was then forced to disembark and there was a baggage inspection to see who the bags belonged to.

Police said “farewell” letters had been found from the men that led them to suspect they were intending to carry out terror attacks. It was not revealed where the letters were found or how long the two suspects had been under observation. Some reports said the two had been under observation for months, and a suicide note was found in their apartment saying that they wanted to die for the “jihad” or “Muslim holy war”.

A man claiming to be a spokesman for Muslim pirates from Somali who seized a ship laden with Russian tanks says they want $20 million before they will release the vessel.

Sugule Ali says others who have made earlier ransom demands did not speak for the particular pirates who hijacked the Ukrainian-operated cargo ship Faina on Thursday.

Viktor Nikolsky, the captain of the Faina, told The Associated Press that a Russian sailor died Sunday because of hypertension.

The Ukrainian-operated ship has a load of 33 Russian-built T-72 tanks and a substantial quantity of ammunition and spare parts ordered by the Kenyan government. A man previously called The Associated Press in Somalia by telephone Saturday claiming to be a spokesman for the pirates and demanding a $35 million ransom for the ship and cargo.

Although not confirmed, the tanks were most likely intended for the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement, a former rebel group that signed a peace agreement with the Sudanese government in 2005 after 22 years of civil war.
