U.S. President Barack Obama and Saudi King Abdullah discussed cooperation on the global economic crisis and joint efforts against terrorism in their first face-to-face talks on Thursday on the sidelines of a G20 summit, the White House said.

What Reuters neglected to mention was King Abdullah discussed with U.S. President Obama in London the Arab peace initiative and ways to step up Saudi-U.S. cooperation.

In an amusingly self-serving ruling, Muhammad an-Najimi, a Saudi member of the prestigious Islamic Fiqh Academy of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, issued a tentative personal opinion (less binding than a fatwa) to Muslims that filling the gas tank with biofuels is sinful: “I warn Saudis who live abroad and who use alcohol instead of petrol that this case is related and falls within the parameters of what the prophet said.”

He refers here to a hadith in which Muhammad prohibited the buying, selling, transporting, drinking, or manufacturing of alcohol.

Although it is imperative and of the utmost importance to identify and pursue muslim terror cells and destroy them, the decompartmentalization of them into tiny minority sub-groups dilutes the magnitude and horror of Islamic global imperialism and its monumental and catastrophic threat against the civilized world. h/t Daily Alert. Suspicions in the devastating Mumbai terror attacks are centering on Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistani-based jihadi terror organization whose objectives include destroying India and Israel, and establishing an Islamic caliphate.

On Sunday, Indian Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria said the only gunman captured by police admitted the group was behind the attacks and had intended to hit even more targets.

Lashkar-e-Taiba – or Army of the Pure or Righteous – is the armed wing of a Pakistani-based religious organization founded in 1989. The organization is banned in India and Pakistan.

During the 1990s, the group received instruction and funding from Pakistan’s intelligence agency in exchange for a pledge to target Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir and to train Muslim extremists on Indian soil, according to the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations.

The group is suspected of being involved in the December 2001 attack on New Delhi’s Parliament and the 2006 Mumbai train bombings.

Since 2002 when the government of Pakistan banned Lashkar-i-Taiba, the group has expanded its membership, its operational reach and its influence among radical Islamist networks seeking to spark a revolution in South Asia.

Inside Pakistan, Lashkar still operates training camps for militants and runs a large charitable and social-services organization that has been embraced by Pakistani officials.

Some of its fighters have traveled to Iraq and East Africa, and it has nurtured a mutually advantageous alliance with al-Qaeda.

One of the British suicide bombers in the July 7, 2005, London transit attacks spent time at a Lashkar-affiliated religious school in Pakistan.

According to the respected journalist and diplomat Husain Haqqani, who is now Pakistan’s ambassador to the U.S., Lashkar-e-Taiba is a jihadi group of Wahhabi persuasion, “backed by Saudi money and protected by Pakistani intelligence services.”

Another example of Irrational largesse by the United States toward Saudi Arabia. Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia, who helped fund the terror attacks on the 9-11 WTC which killed 3,000+ Americans, is dying.  And the US shows its gratitude by helping cure him of the intestinal cancer.

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz was one of the funders who in August of 2002 was sued by the families of September 11 victims for contributions he allegedly made to charities with ties to al-Qaeda.

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz left Saudi Arabia for the U.S. on Sunday to undergo an operation for cancer, a source close to the prince said. The untimely death of Sultan, thought to be in his early 80s, could spark a succession battle. Sultan’s half-brother, King Abdullah, is around 85.

This should be of no suprise that hate for the “infidel” is taught in mosques worldwide. What is surprising however, is that the viewers and reviewers of the documentary series expected to see Judaeo-Christian values of loving-kindness being preached instead. But Monday night, the “Dispatches” documentary series on Channel 4 TV in the UK revealed a very different picture of what goes on in some of the UK’s flagship Muslim institutions.

* The filmmakers went undercover at the London Central Mosque in Regent’s Park to show the discord between what imams preached outwardly to the public and what they preached to their faithful in private. According to the documentary, they teach the faithful that God orders them to kill homosexuals and apostates; that they should curtail the freedom of women; and that they should view non-Muslims in a derogatory manner and limit contact with them.

* Many of these leaders are trained in Saudi Arabian Wahhabi philosophy, and use Saudi-approved textbooks and pedagogical materials to teach young students.

* Saudi Arabia’s education and religious outreach programs, whether in the form of textbooks, library endowments or madrassah construction, constitute one of the largest aid programs in the world – roughly $4 billion a year – and introduce hundreds of millions of schoolchildren to radical Wahhabi doctrine via Saudi Embassy-run schools and educational programs in mosques.

Saudi Arabians are rooting for Senator Barack Obama to win the upcoming US presidential election because they are convinced he is a Muslim and will champion Arab and Muslim causes, reported Saudi English-language newspaper Arab News on Monday.

Many of the Saudis interviewed by the newspaper said that despite claims to the contrary, Obama’s Arabic middle name, Hussein, leaves no doubt in their minds that he is or once was a Muslim.

Obama’s father and step-father were both Muslims, and the senator was himself listed as a Muslim while attending grade school in Indonesia.

The Saudis also said that a black president is more likely to be sensitive to their concerns, whereas white presidents always “side with Israel rather than with Muslim countries.”

A Muslim father cut out his daughter’s tongue and lit her on fire upon learning that she had become a Christian.

The child became curious about Jesus Christ after she read Christian material online, the Gulf News reported.

Her father read her Internet conversation, detached her tongue and burned her to death “following a heated debate on religion,” according to an International Christian Concern report.

The Muslim man lives in Saudi Arabia and is employed by the muwateen, or Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. The muwateen are police tasked by the government with enforcing religious purity. The man has been taken into custody, and his identity has not been released.
