“What really happened in Gaza was truly like a miracle,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, noted in a meeting with visiting Palestinian Islamic Jihad chief Ramadan Abdallah. The Supreme Leader again congratulated Palestinians on their victory over the Zionist regime’s army. Khamenei went on to say that the Zionist regime’s collapse has already begun. He reminded Palestinian resistance leaders that, as on the battleground, the Palestinians must insist on their political position to “force the enemy to retreat.” He expressed hope for a complete liberation of Palestinian lands and said he “strongly believes that the final victory will come in the not-too-distant future” if the resistance continues at this pace.

For his part, Ramadan Abdallah thanked Iran for its help to Palestinians, especially during the recent war in Gaza. He said the victory over the Zionist regime’s army was a “great strategic development” and promised “final victory” by the Palestinians.

This week Hamas enacted a Sharia (Islamic Law) criminal code for the Palestinian Authority which legalizes crucifying enemies of Islam.  Via Caroline Glick:

Both Iran and its Hamas proxy in Gaza have been busy this Christmas week showing Christendom just what they think of it. But no one seems to have noticed.

On Tuesday, Hamas legislators marked the Christmas season by passing a Shari’a criminal code for the Palestinian Authority. Among other things, it legalizes crucifixion.

Hamas’s endorsement of nailing enemies of Islam to crosses came at the same time it renewed its jihad. Here, too, Hamas wanted to make sure that Christians didn’t feel neglected as its fighters launched missiles at Jewish day care centers and schools. So on Wednesday, Hamas lobbed a mortar shell at the Erez crossing point into Israel just as a group of Gazan Christians were standing on line waiting to travel to Bethlehem for Christmas.

So what can we do, when our children see others dressed up, eating candy, and going to parties? While it may be tempting to join in, we must be careful to preserve our own traditions and not allow our children to be corrupted by this seemingly “innocent” fun. When tempted, remember the pagan origins of these traditions (astughrifullah), and ask Allah to give you strength. Save the celebration, the fun and games, for our ‘Eids. Children can still have their fun, and most importantly, should learn that we only acknowledge holidays that have a religious significance to us as Muslims. Holidays are not just excuses to binge and be reckless. In Islam, our holidays retain their religious importance, while allowing proper time for rejoicing, fun and games.

I have written extensively on why moderate Muslims are a threat to Western Civilization: they cannot assimilate or even abide non-Muslim cultures. With Islam it is all or nothing. Jews who do not believe in Jesus have written the greatest Christmas songs and the best Christian films. Jews have been in western civilization for more than two thousand years and have contributed to science, medicine, psychology, literature, film, entertainment and thousands of other values to western culture. Muslims live in western countries and add nothing because they cannot look at, enjoy, write about, or improve anything that is un-Islamic.

We feel for poor Muslim women who live as 7th century slaves to their Muslim masters; now we also pity the poor Muslim children who are denied childhood fun. What a sad excuse for a religion.

In an interview with Al-Jazeera TV, prominent Egyptian geologist and cleric Dr. Zaghloul Ragheb Al-Naggar called Egypt’s ruling party “illegal and unconstitutional,” and said that the Old and New Testaments were “forgeries” and that “the things the Old Testament says about the creation of Man are completely wrong.”

Dr. Al-Naggar, who holds a Ph.D. in geology from Wales University, U.K., is a member of the Geological Society of London, the Geological Society of Egypt, and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has lectured at universities in the West, including the University of Wales, as well as at universities in Arab countries. In 1977-78, he was a visiting lecturer at the University of California.

He is a member of the board of trustees of the Bridges Foundation, which states on its website, http://www.bridgesfoundation , that its vision is to “… train Muslims on becoming public speakers and presenters of how to present Islam as a culture and way of life to their fellow non-Muslims.” He is also chairman of the Committee on Scientific Notions in the Glorious Koran and Purity Sunnah Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Cairo and a fellow of the Islamic Academy of Sciences.

According to the English section of Dr. Al-Naggar’s website (www.elnaggarzr.com ), the website’s aim is, inter alia, to “invite non-Muslims to think of the Scientific Facts which came in The Glorious Koran and the Pure Prophetic Sunnah [one] thousand and four hundred years [ago that] science is still discovering,” “to respond to the directed suspicions [of] Islam & Muslims,” and “to [make] know[n] Dr. Zaghloul Al-Naggar [to] the West and informing them [of] his science & neutralism.”
