		<description>For eight long years I&#039;ve tried in vain to reconcile Bush&#039;s personal faith with his conflicting policy on Israel VS the palestinians.  It is an impossible task.  When he was running against Gore he promised he&#039;d recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, but that promise, along with all other assurances of loyalty to the lone democracy in the region have been left to rot on the State Department floor as Rice has continued the ill-fated tactics employed by the Carter and Clinton administrations.  You&#039;re right that Obama won&#039;t be able to do much worse, though I&#039;m sure he&#039;ll try...</description>
