To Rebecca Walker:

A few stragglers from your site and from Jewcy linked on your “Zionist groups” link in your post about Samantha Power and stumbled onto my site.  After reading what you’ve written there about my site as well as your description of the manufactured entity calling itself “palestine”, I had to respond.

In your defense of Samantha Power, you characterize my blog as a “Zionist group” for my criticism of Power as if Smooth Stone were being coerced and manipulated by fifty Washington lobbyists that all look and smell like Shylock.  But the fact is, there is no “Zionist group” behind Smooth Stone.

Smooth Stone is written by one female Jewish voice -- me -- but I’m pleased you think there are a lot of me.

You characterize Zionism as if there is something wrong with Zionism.

There is nothing wrong with Zionism as long as you will agree that there is nothing wrong with Palestinianism.

If Palestinianism has any validity, so then does Zionism have the same validity.

And don’t refer to Palestine in your writings as if it still exists unless you are willing to refer to Biafra as if it still exists.

Samantha Power does not believe that Israel has a right as a legitimate and sovereign nation to defend her citizens against katyusha rockets that are being launched over an international border into Israel’s sovereign land.  Samantha Power does not want to admit that there is NO occupation of Gaza anymore.

Israel demolished whole communities and pulled each and every Israeli citizen out and redeployed all their forces outside the recognized boundaries of Gaza territory. What there is now is an economic blockade. That happens in times of armed conflict and is not against international law.  See, the civilized world calls that an act of war and there’s a whole lot of badness that comes with that.

Everyone in the civilized world saw, after 9-11, what the enemies of civilization can do.  This is what Samantha Power chooses to ignore.  Anyone who had a TV in 2001 saw what Islamism can do.

Do you have a problem with Islamism? If Islamism is ok and Palestinianism is ok, then Zionism is ok.

No doubt the US will be hit again with another major terrorist attack by Muslims based on the fact that Islam is not a religion of peace and that there are 1,400 years of empirical evidence to prove it.

President Bush has abided by our nation’s constitution and has kept us safe.  Let’s see what your beloved Obama will do the next time America is hit by Islamic “insurgents’ and “militants” .  Heh.  Dig yourself under your bunker now, my friend.  Obama will sell you and every American up the river first before he will defend this country against Islamofascists.  Obama got rid of Samantha Power so as to not upset his Jewish voter bloc.  Now that he got in, he pulled back Samantha Power.

But how you choose to react when we are attacked will depend on your own attempt to pretend to serve any higher justice than your own group identity.  As a Jew, I would believe you would not be embracing Samantha Power, you would be repelled by her.  But then again, clearly you and I are not the same in spite of our both being Jewish and female.

And one more thing, the next time you choose to describe my site as a “Zionist group”, make sure you also include Proud, Strong, Indigenous, and Righteous.  As Shylock told his tormentors:
