Just days away from the U.S. election and things have heated up. Here are some of my activities of possible interest:
- My brief discussion on Fox News of Barack Obama’s not being eligible for a security clearance: “Falling Grade.”
- “Former top FBI official confirms: No security clearance for Obama.” Oliver “Buck” Revell agrees with my verdict on Obama not getting a security clearance.
- A video of the nearly two-hour long Jewish Policy Center event in Cleveland earlier this month on “From Iran Aggression to US Recession: The Challenges Ahead,” featuring Michael Medved as moderator and Mona Charen, David Horowitz, Clifford May, and myself as panelists.
Finally, several of my analyses of Rashid Khalidi, the former PLO employee and Obama friend, now a Columbia University professor and topic of great controversy in the final days of the 2008 presidential campaign:
- Review of “Under Siege: P.L.O. Decisionmaking During the 1982 War.” The Wall Street Journal, January 15, 1986. I condemned Khalidi’s first book as “propaganda parading as scholarship” with specifics aplenty to back up this assertion.
- “Rashid Khalidi’s Appointment at Columbia University.” A debate on MSNBC’s “Scarborough Country” on August 29, 2003. Khalidi was surprised and upset by my appearance on this show, where I challenged his views.
- For comic relief, read some excerpts from what I called Khalidi’s “embarrassingly servile obituary” of Edward Said at “‘The Majesty That He Was’: Columbia Colleagues Remember Edward Said.”
