Saad, FGM does need a formal response condemning it from the Muslim community and thank you for posting the link, but I want to address another issue here.

I will say that the Quran is absolutely not the "only" Divine Book and the Quran is not the only divine book that forbids FGM. The Holy Torah is in fact the Divine Book and The Holy Torah significantly precedes the Quran by thousands of years. In addition, The Book of Leviticus in The Holy Torah has specific instructions on what one is and is not to do to one's body, regarding cleanliness, regarding tatoos, regarding sexual relations, regarding body piercing, self-mutilation, regarding food, etc. There is not one subject in the entire world that the Holy Torah does not discuss in detail. Absolutely nowhere in The Holy Torah - absolutely nowhere - is it stated that FGM is to be condoned and for you to imply otherwise is a lie, mistruth and deceptive statement.

It is one thing for you to respond righteously to the criminality of FGM, for it is unquestionably an abhorrent practice, but it is an altogether deceptive comment to state that the Quran is the only Divine Book that forbids FGM. To state such a false fact is yet another indication that although Islam likes to think of itself as being the only True Word of God, the fact is that Islam has not only abrogated the True Word of God, it has mocked it, condemned it, imitated it, blasphemed it and turned it upside down on its head.

The question Muslims should ask is when will Muslims understand that the Quran is the word of a man, not the word of God. When all people of all nations turn to God, and away from man, then there will be peace.

Peace to all peaceful people, including and especially the Jewish people and their sons and daughters of all generations. Amen.

Peace to the peaceful people

To see a video response to FGM in Islam, please go to youtube channel fitnafitan5 video clip 31/49, go to the end of the 31/49 clip and continou to video clip 32/49. The Quran is the only Divine Book that forbids FGM and considers it as the deed of the devil.

I wonder that when the Moslims are going to understand the Quran and live as Moslims?

Thanks.

The practice of FGM is so barbaric. The photo of the little girl speaks volumes of the pain and suffering she is about to (or already has) endured. For those of us from a western background, we have no idea of what these poor women go through. I wish there was more i could do in my country to raise awareness of the plight of women around the world subjected to this torture.
